Wall Street Opens Little Changed

Stocks were slightly lower on Wall Street in morning trading on Tuesday, despite better-than-expected earnings reports from Johnson & Johnson and Goldman Sachs and an upbeat reading on retail sales. The positive news was tempered by a report showing wholesale prices rose more than expected last month. At 11:15 a.m., the Dow Jones industrial average was down 10 points, or 0.1 percent, at 8,321.45. The Standard & Poor’s 500-stock index was flat, and the Nasdaq composite index was down 3 points.
