GMA leaving for Korea

By: Tess Bedico MALACAÑANG yesterday announced that President Macapagal-Arroyo is leaving for a working visit to the Republic of Korea next week, adding that the business of government should go on despite the swine flu scare. Press Secretary Cerge Remonde said the President’s visit from May 30 to June 2 is upon the invitation of President Lee Myung Bak. “We should not allow this (medical crisis) to paralyze us. We should just take the necessary precautions,” he said. The Department of Health had advised the public to defer their plans to travel abroad as the Philippines recorded its first case of swine flu.
