Durham symphony hires new music director

DURUHAM — The Durham Symphony Orchestra has chosen William Henry Curry as its new music director after a 15-month search. Curry will retain his current job as the N.C. Symphony’s resident conductor and artistic director of its summer programs. He succeeds Alan Neilson, who led the Durham orchestra for 23 years…
