Cops fire at Moz protesters

Maputo – Two construction workers on Maputo?s new $57m stadium were seriously injured when police fired at protesters, Mozambique police said on Thursday. A spokesperson for Maputo city police command Arnaldo Chefo said one of the workers was shot in the groin while the other was shot in the leg. The injured men were part of 700 construction workers on the stadium which is being built by the Shanghai-based Wanyuan Group, 12km out of the city centre.
