BAGHDAD — Mahmoud Abbas, the president of the Palestinian Authority, visited Iraq for the first time since the U.S. invasion in 2003, meeting with Iraqi leaders yesterday to garner support for the Palestinian leadership and Iraq’s Palestinian community.
