MILF set for rescue of Red Cross hostages

By Sammy Martin, Reporter THE leadership of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) on Friday said they are poised for the rescue of the three abducted International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) workers should the opportunity arise. MILF spokesman Eid Kabalu warned Abu Sayyaf that if something wrong happens to any of the hostages, they would be answerable to the wrath of the people of Mindanao. “Well I don’t want to talk about it on radio but definitely our concern . . . is very, very strong . . . given the opportunity, were prepared to come to the rescue of the hostages.
