Visteon posts wider 4Q loss, warns on debt

More News Auto parts supplier Visteon Corp. posted a wider quarterly loss Wednesday and said it could no longer guarantee compliance with its debt agreements due to growing uncertainty over the fate of the auto industry. Visteon, which makes interior, electronic and lighting products for automakers, said it is continuing to slash costs where it can. It said it is making more cuts unspecified size to its salaried and hourly work force, shortening work weeks, enacting temporary pay cuts, eliminating 401(k) matching contributions and merit increases.
