National Pie Day can be a delicious celebration

January could be called the month of pie and poetry. The 26th annual National Pie Day will be celebrated on Jan. 23 by numerous individuals, organizations, and companies across the country, according to the American Pie Council. The council notes two events, each woven into the history and culture of America: the inauguration of Barack Obama, the 44th U.S. president, on Jan. 20, and National Pie Day on Jan. 23, which celebrates the wholesome, delicious, historic dessert.
